GSQ has arrange a indoor event for all Kids & Children a Competition BACK to SCHOOL

Details of this event:

 

Date of Event: 5th September

Place: Ashok Hall @ICC ('C; Ring Road)

Time: 4:30 pm to 9:00 pm

Entry: chargeable for all above 2 years

NO ENTRY CHARGES FOR PARTICIPANTS 

Charges: Qr. 10.00 per head

Refreshment will be served to all Participants and Entry Pass holders only.

Please take a note that due to holy month of Ramadan refreshment will be served only after iftar and we request all parents to obey the government's rules

 

For entry Pass: kindly register your name to GSQ Committee Member (refer attached List) before 1st September 2008 

 

Last date of Registration: 1st September 2008.

 

Kindly register your Kid/children's name for the competitions before this date to following Committee members

The glimpse of rules for this event

1.                FANCY DRESS

For the small children the fancy dress is held to initiate the kids to come on stage. 

1.1.       Parents can use their imagination and dress up the kids (girl/boy) as they wish and give a title to the dress.

1.2.       The children can say few words relevant to the fancy dress and no speeches. 

1.3.       Time is of essence so within 1 min the child should come on stage ALONE and leave showing their dress.

1.4.      No parents on stage please.

 

2.                POETRY AND ELOCUTION

2.1.       The Poetry and Elocution can be delivered in Gujarati, Hindi, and OR English.

2.2.       All participants should give the title of the poetry and elocution with a copy of the contents of the poetry and elocution.

2.3.       Time limit for Poetry is 2 minutes.

2.4.       Time limit for Elocution is 3 minutes.

2.5.      No written material will be allowed on stage nor will any parent be allowed on or back stage.

 

3.                DEBATE:

3.1.       The topic will have debate FOR AND AGAINST THE TOPIC OF DISCUSSION.  Thus the competitor can speak FOR THE TOPIC OR AGAINST THE TOPIC, with clear conclusion, his/her debate will not be considered if the discussion takes a middle course of neither FOR or AGAINST.

3.2.       Each competitor will be allowed 5 minutes from the time he enters the stage. So time will be a major factor in preparation for the topic. 30 seconds before the 5 minutes time a Light or bell will indicate the time left.  Points will be deducted for going beyond the time or speaking 30 seconds less than 5 minutes allocated.

3.3.       Topic will be given 7 days prior to the date of competition (both dates inclusive).

3.4.       No written material will be allowed, nor would any prompting be allowed when competition is in progress. This will result in immediate disqualification from the competition.

 

Parents or their friends from the samaj can register for the participants if they are on holidays.
