Dear All, 


Uttrayan – Kite Flying Day:

We are pleased to announce that Kite Flying Day will be celebrated on 13th February 2009 at Dossari Park – Shahiniya. All are requested to reach at Dossari Park by 0900 - 0930 hrs as now we have kites and Firikie in our hand. 

Snack and lunch will be arranged by GSQ.  The charges for the GSQ members & their Guests will be as follows:-

  1. Adult (12 year and above)   Qrs 25/= per person
  2. Children (3 year and above up to 12 year) Qrs 10/= per child.
  3. Children below 3 year free.
  4. Guest Adult (12 years and above)  Qrs 40/= per person
  5. Guest Children (up to 12 year) Qrs 20/= per child.

 
Please note last date for registration is 09th February 2009.

 
Gujarati Samaj - Qatar has arranged Kites & Firikie which will available during the event. The Kites will be sold at Qrs 1/= per Kite and Firikie will be at Qrs 15/= per Firikie. We would like to inform all GSQ members to register for the requirement of Kite / Firikie with GSQ committee member in order to reserve as there are limited available.

 
Also please note that initially family can buy 1 (one) Firikie & 10 Kites per family if excess will be sold. It will on first come first serve basis subject to registration in advance.

 
 We would request all GSQ members register your name and no of person attending Kite Flying Day with your area committee members or following person.

 All committee members are request to provide list of member who have registered to following person by 10th February 2009 in order to compile total nos of member attending program me and arrange for snack and food. The format is attached.

Updates (29 Jan 2009): 

Dear All GSQ Members

We regret to inform you’ll that Kite Flying event has been postponed due to non availability of Kites and Firikie as they are stuck at Indian Customs Ahmedabad and expected to reach in couple of days, once we receive kites and firikie shall advise date and location for the Kite Flying Event. We don’t want Children and GSQ Members demoralize after reaching at the spot and having event without Kites and Firikie.

We hope you’ll understand the above situation which was beyond our control and surely we will celebrate this event in next coming days.

We regret if any inconvenience caused.
